Amman, Dec. 9 (Petra) - Under the patronage of HRH Princess Sarvath El Hassan, with HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal in attendance, and in cooperation with the Bunayat Centre for Special Education, the Qissat Lahen (The Story of a Melody) choir was launched on Monday evening in an artistic event celebrating creativity and inclusion and highlighting the power of shared musical expression as a bridge for communication and integration.
Students from the Bunayat Center and Amman Baccalaureate School (ABS) took part in the evening, along with a group of artists and musicians with disabilities and others, in an artistic space that brought together diverse abilities and talents and reinforced the values of cooperation, equality and giving everyone the opportunity to express themselves through music.
The participation of Their Highnesses reflected their continued interest in education issues and the empowerment of children and youth, especially persons with disabilities, and their support for enabling them to reach platforms of creativity and community participation.
The Bunayat Center for Special Education was established in 1974 under the patronage of Princess Sarvath El Hassan and was the first of its kind in Jordan to support persons with disabilities. Throughout its long journey, it has cemented a central role in providing educational and rehabilitative services based on an approach rooted in empowerment and community inclusion, adopting the latest educational and rehabilitative methods.
The ABS, established in 1981 at the initiative of Prince El Hassan and Princess Sarvath, is among the leading educational institutions in Jordan and the region and was the first school in the Kingdom to adopt the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The school continues to provide high-quality education based on innovation, character development and the promotion of active citizenship within a world-class learning environment.
Sponsorship of this event underscored continued support for educational and artistic initiatives that give children and youth, especially persons with disabilities, the opportunity to participate, create and express themselves in safe and inclusive environments.
